2 Temples you must visit in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Updated: Feb 12, 2018

This is a third time visiting Chiang Mai, the city I love. There are over 300 temples around the city, beside Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. ( we missed it) We managed to see two beautiful temples at Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Pra Singh.

Wat Chedi Luang is located in the middle of the old city of Chiang Mai on the walking distance and close to market and hotel. The temple is really amazing with. the 82 metes tall. The Wat was started in 1391. The original stupa topped out at 82 meters – 270 feet - and was most likely the tallest, grandest, most impressive structure in the city.

We download Grab to go around .It is easy and popular in Thailand. Uber is another option as well to compare the price . Here is my free ride with Uber. Taxi and Tuk Tuk can be pricey and over charge for tourist.

A Short video of the temples.

Another Stunning Temple is Wat Phar Singh. The Golden Pagoda is stunning. The temple is the heart of People of chiang mai which has the holy Phar Put tha si hing (Buddha statue ). The architecture and murals are the most beautiful arts I ever have seen. I hear the murals wall arts contains old Thai story of Sang Thong which is only one place in Thailand. The temple usually hosts the ceremony of Songkran or Thai new year festival every year. I believe Song Kran in Chiang mai is better and busier.
