It was early morning to get out from bed at Chino hostel (Phuket Thailand )to wait for the shuttle bus to pick us up to the pier in order to catch the ferry to Krabi.
We waited for the shuttle like half an hour and was so worried if we could get there late and will miss the ferry. Jorge is an early person and always on time. He was worried.I know how Thailand time is, and I wasn't worried at all. The shuttle came to pick us up as a van. It to us to Rachada pier just 15 minutes.

The ferry to Ao Nang, Krabi was about 3 hours. Our journey that day was raining. We arrive at Nopparat Thara pier in Krabi province and took Song tiew they ( Truck with the seat in the back )provided to Railey. The rain was super heavy till you can't see anything. We got 2 huge luggage with us as well. It wasn't fun that day. After Song tiew ride. We gotta wait for another long tail boat to get to Railay at Tha Nam moa pier. It was so frustrating that we did not know how the furry is not just one stop and that it. We waited like another half an hour till the long tail boat came, The huge luggages we carried were so bothered, the rain still heavily pour, and it was so scary. I have never experienced long tail boat on a rainy day like this, on top of that the waves were intended. I wish it was sunny.
The Longtail boat ride was about 20- 30 minutes to get to Railay. The time we got there was raining still. I still see how amazing Railay is. When we got there, we found out that our hotel at Tonsai bay is not connected to Railay beach. There is no road connected. We have to take another longtail boat trip to our hotel. You have no idea how frustrated we were. That was the most connection boat trip I ever had in my life. I found the longtail driver which charged us 100 baths for 5 minutes ride to Tonsai Bay in the rainy day.

The pier at Tonsai bay is another 10 minutes walk in the rain. We got there at the register like a mess. I feel like this is the adventure but for Jorge was too crazy for him.
The Hotel is so beautiful, The staff was super nice and helpful. One thing we found it out was this hotel at the low season will not provide electric city during 9 am to 5 pm. I was ok about it since we are going to be out anyway. I like Tonsai bay because it is quiet, no sell person around like Patong beach. The place is like a little getaway without anyone.
The area was quite dead. Again Railey and TonSai Bay are only accessible by water only. There are many options of longtail boat service at Ao Nang.
If you want an easy good location in Krabi and want easy access to anywhere around, like island tour, Krabi marketplaces, another beach. You might stay around Ao Nang area better. You will not kinda get lockout or frustrated of waiting for a longtail boat ride.
If you like to get away to people and not plan to go anywhere else in Krabi, I recommend you to stay in Railay which also famous from rock climbing.
Since we found out that we can't get out to anywhere, we just chilled around Tonsai bay. The trip to get here today was difficult and wet. It is time to just sit down and do nothing. I really enjoy the beach so much. The mountain was beautiful, the water was green and the sky was grey.
The beach was only us in the water. There were so many rocks in the water. You got to be careful.
After spending time around the beach, we explore the area. We tried to get to Railey, so we claim the little hill to next to it. At the end, the water was so hight and we didn't want to risk it on the way back. We walk back again to the back of Tonsai resort. There was a little village in the back. They were so dead. We found there were some store, restaurant, and small bungalow. There were some of the tourist chilling there around as well. I feel good that we were not completely lockout from people that bad. At least we can come to get anything or the beer and food. We kinda figured that Tonsai resort might have anything but more expensive.
Dinner time has come. We decided to have dinner by the beach. The only place by the beach is a hotel restaurant. We had fried shrimp appetizer, Tom Kha soup and Pad see ew. All of them are ok.
We pretty much have done Tonsai bay area. We love to see more places. We cancel the rest of the night here and decided to leave on the next day to stay around Ao Nang. We wanted to do motorcycle ride, explore more Krabi. We could stay here at Tonsai , but the transportation was limited. We did do not plan to pay 100 baht each person each time to get in and out, plus time-consuming.

We left TonSai Bay on the next day to Ao Nang. I felt missed out so much since we haven't explored Railay beach, Railay viewpoint, Princess Cave and Ao Pra Nang.
We took a longtail boat to Ao Nang on the next day. We waited till that longtail boat to be filled ( 8 people) or if you want them to leave now you got to pay for the empty seat. This is how we didn't want to deal with longtail boat service. Overall my Tonsai bay experience was kinda sweet and sour. I don't mind to come back on the nice sunny day. Till next time.
