Beach day in Phuket, Thailand

Updated: Feb 12, 2018

May 15, 2017.

We are so excited to be in Phuket. As soon as the sun came up, we took the motorcycle out to the beach after breakfast right the way. In one day we rode around the island to experience most of the beach Phuket has to offer.

The first beach was Kata beach which is good for surfing, family activities, shopping, and restaurants, you can get Thai massage on the beach around 250 baht per hour. The beach was little busy that day. The wave was huge and as soon as we stay there for less than an hour, the rain came.

After Kata beach, we head to Nai Harn Beach. The beach has restaurants and local shops. The food are quite expensive so we didn't have lunch there as planed. There is a stunning temple to check it out as well. I stop by a fruit vendor for fresh young coconut. We stayed there for half an hour and made it on the go. That time was cloudy.

After a quick stop at Nai Harn beach, we rode a motorcycle to the Windmill Viewpoint. The view was so stunning. Luckily that time was sunny. We can't wait to take some pictures right the way and noticed the beach down look so beautiful especially the water was clear and crystal blue.

The next stop is Yanui Beach. The Beach is so quiet and dead by the time we got there. We loved it. It is so quiet, sadly the beach has so much trash. One of my friend who lives in Phuket told me it is a rain season right now, so Phuket gets much rain on May to October, and the water washes all trash to the beach at this time. I should believe him because Yanui Beach needs attention on cleaning issue. I still say this is a great beach one of the best in Phuket its small and quietly beautiful, if your into just relaxing and chilling out this is the beach for you, no loud jet ski or drunks, its a nice place for a honeymoon or just to visit for the day beach is surrounded by lush Green vegetation.

Finally Sun came out for sun bathing

One of our favorite beach. Yanui Beach. ( our favorite of all )

Next stop is Rawai beach. It is not the best beach for a sunbathing or swimming in our opinion. The spot we found is more like a pier, busy long tail boat, but you still can enjoy the beautiful water, the views, and the sun. We noticed that this beach is good for fresh local seafood places. I always wanted seafood but we didn't do it at that moment. ( I feel regret ) We rode around and it was busy. Many local and tourist come here for fresh seafood. I wish to go back there and grab some fresh octopus and lobster. We stay there for a bit and we found another secret beach by riding away like 15 minutes

Next stop is Laem Ka Beach. The beach is a great spot to chill, read a book and have a swim. It isn't far from Rawai or Nai Harn and it's a decent road all the way to the beach though no signs. There are no toilets ( everywhere are the toilet) All vendor at the beach are close that day. We believe it is off the season still. The time we got there was just one family. We felt like owning the beach. Finally, I found the place to take a nap. I would say this little quiet beach is one of my favorites as well. Patong is great but it is too busy for me. The beach day is about to over. I am telling you time flies!

Laem Ka Beach (another favorite one)

Before the sunset, we rush up to Promthep Cape as soon as possible before the sunset. You need a small hiking skill to get all the way down the end. We waited for the sunset and the view was glorigous. The waster was so blue, the greeneries around was so green and lush. The sun was hiding that evening, so we could not really see the sunset. Overal our day beach hopping was fun and adventurous.
