One night in old town Phuket, Thailand

Updated: Feb 12, 2018

Before catching the early Furry boat to Krabi. Jorge and I had a chance to stay in Old town Phuket which has so much to offer in one night. We checked out From the Blue pear hotel and found Chino hostel in the old town area. We managed time to check the little historic town out and we found in love with it. Here are where we stop by

The market is so tiny, but they offer so many delicious street food, drinks, clothes, shoes, and arts. I found the grilled squid which I have been wanting for the longest. Jorge had innovative potatoes fries. It looks fun to eat.

The market was cute and good hipsterish place close to the center of Phuket City. Prices are similar to the other street food places, but here the food is presented in a more aesthetically pleasing way. There are live music bands playing, with the crowd of locals as well as tourists.I would advise anyone at least to visit!

The area is full of history. Phuket used to be the center of Mine industry and trade center back in the day. The architecture mixed up with Thai, Muslim, Chinese and western ( Portuguese influence) or called Chino Portuguese. The restaurants and shops look old school. The wall has amazing graffiti everywhere.

3. Bar Hopping

I would say if we did not experience the night, we might feel missing out in some point. Marut, a friend when I was in college took us out for dinner and try the local bar, The first stop was Anfield Cafe. The cafe has cheap beer and amazing food. We had Tamarine shrimp and they are so good to order twice. The atmosphere was old Thai vintage style with a great service.

The next stop was Sewana bar. This bar is famous among Thai hipster, Thai teenager, and young generation. The frozen drink was good but too weak. We didn't feel the alcohol at all. It might not good for chit-chat because the Live music is really loud. Overall it is a great place to hang.

The night has gone so quick. We gotta get back to the hostel resting. Prepare for the furry to Krabi tomorrow. Thank you for visiting my blog.
